Turrets and Tracks Diary 2007

26th,27th & 28th May 2007
Strumpsaw is our first show of the season. We took BV206, Sabre, Landrover Series II and 105mm Pack Howitizer (the lack of Saladin in the line up is due to her imminent appearance at the Household Cavalry Pageant on Horse Guard Parade)
The first day of the show was dry and great fun was had by the team putting the BV206 through its paces on the assault course.
Unfortunatly the rest of the show was wet, VERY VERY WET again the team had great fun showing the ability of the BV206 to power slide round corners in the arena to  the amusement  of the few spectators who braved the weather conditions.

12th June 2007

19th June
Saint Marys Junior School, Long Stratton invited Turrets and Tracks to show year 3 the Saladin Armoured Scout Car as part of there history studies. Each pupil and some staff had the opportunity to climb inside the vehicle and learn about the way the vehicle was used in combat.
We appreciated the two thank you card made signed and sent to us by year 3.

23rd June
We were invited by the Dean to attend the Roman Catholic Cathedral Garden Fete and bring along our Saladin for an added attraction, naturally we decided to drive the 30mile round trip and couldnt miss the opportunity to fill up with petrol at Tesco's at 11.00hrs on a saturday morning. it caused quite a stir!!
Stephen Lee (anglia news presenter) opended the fete and posed in the saladin for photos and recalled presenting the news item of a few weeks earlier about Turrets and Tracks attending the Household Cavalry pageant.
